Icon of the Seas

Consider ear plugs for the shows.  I found it painfully loud at times   My Apple Watch even warned me of dangerous noise levels on several occasions.

Not a fan of the unbalconies. No breeze and the glass is at chest level. Stark and depressing when the shade is down.

Can not watch tv from the couch as it is not adjustable.

Bathroom small with very limited storage.

Attractive lighted mirror above the desk. However, the chair under is too low for how high the writing area is.

Only 2 120v electric plugins, one over dresser and one by the bed. One international plug over dresser.   2 120v outlets in bath.  Several USB ports.

Cabin is deliciously dark when the shade is down.   Odd that the shade is not used as a decorative feature to add continuity.

No mattress pad. Just waterproof sheet & thin sheet over firm mattress. Mattress pads were unavailable, so I requested an additional comforter under the bottom sheet which made the bed comfortable.

The only passenger access to the main theater is on decks 4 & 5.  There is a small lift for one wheelchair tucked away to reach deck 3 from deck 4 but was not working when I tried it, amplifying that this ship was designed for younger generations. Plan on lots of steps in the main show lounge. Arrive early, there are a few obstructed seats.

We were able to view an entertaining dress rehearsal for the Wizard of Oz. The performance has a large excellent orchestra, excellent costumes and amazing sets.

Do try the main dining room for brunch/lunch when open. Relaxing, great food and service.

4260 was described as 2 twins.  Even though it is a double sleeper sofa.

Until you are above balcony category cabins baths are small. The junior suite I viewed had a nice split bath with a shower & sink + room across with toilet & sink. Even in the junior suite I viewed storage was very limited.

Do arrive very early for the Aqua and Ice performances (at least 30 minutes prior). Very limited seating

The standard balconies are compact but pleasant in style with ocean blue and sand predominate, light wood tones with a splash of yellow.

Small venues were well attended but inadequate in size for the number who would have liked to attend.   It seems odd to invest in talented entertainers with venues too small for the demand.  The sailing I was on was only 2/3 full, double occupancy.

The main dining was delightful. Raj and Sebrena were friendly and efficient. The food exceeded my expectations. We were not able to experience any of the specialty restaurants but from what I observed they looked very promising. The buffet was typical for any venue serving large amounts of clients.

Hideaway beach looked to be the best choice at Coco Cay for lunch unless you spring for a day pass or a cabana at Coco Beach Club. We had friends with 3 kids who were over the moon with all of the kid friendly activities on both Coco Cay and the Icon of the Seas.   These mega ships are very much purpose built for families and are very popular with multigenerational family group
